Use relationship-building skills to provide excellent client service, research and market analysis
Must become a trusted advisor on marketplace trends, 'beyond performance' marketing strategy
Makes sales calls on existing and prospective clients
Maintains assigned accounts and develops new accounts
Audits potential clients for growth potential and online viability, including social media presence and content marketing opportunities
Generates individualized plan for a business with timeline and cost buildout
Works with research director to compile market profile for client and refine messaging for impact and consistency across media
Explains to customers how specific types of advertising will help promote their products or services in the most effective way possible
Provides clients with information regarding rates for advertising placement in all media
Develops advertising schedules with clients and station personnel responsible for placing advertising into station media.
Prepares and delivers sales presentations to clients.
Project management throughout advertiser cycle, delivering ongoing measurement with available linear and digital metrics, and advising as to needed updates or changes
Assists other account executives with consulting services as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or Mass Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
Minimum one year experience in sales, preferably in the media field
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Experience achieving long-range objectives and implementing the strategies and actions to achieve them
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products as well as computers and other office equipment
